Review: The Hating Game

The Hating Game by Sally Thorne

Why, oh why, have I not read this book before now! If you have not read it, get it now! Buy it, check it out from the library, borrow it, whatever you have to do. I adore this book. I laughed from start to finish.

“I type my password: IHATEJOSHUA4EV@. My previous passwords have all been variations on how much I hate Joshua.” –Lucy

This was the beginning of my love affair with this book.

Lucy was a total sweetheart, torn by her interest in and hate for Joshua. She was loved by everyone, except Joshua, her archnemesis. She is very work oriented and has become lonely due to a merger at her job that cost her best friend a job. No friends, no love prospects and her overwhelming annoyance with the coworker seated right in front of her.

Cold, cynical and absolutely gorgeous. Lucy drives him crazy because she is the complete opposite of him. Everyone is afraid of him, with his reputation of being hard and strict. He just can’t seem to get Lucy out of his head.

The banter was absolutely hilarious. I rooted for them through the whole book. It shows how people can be so misunderstood. The romance and sexual banter was steamy and totally absorbs you in this book without going overboard. Sally Thorne has written a masterpiece I was honored to read.
