March 5 Releases I can’t wait for

Yesterday had some awesome books being released that I can’t wait to get my hands on. I have been waiting for these books😍

I have read the other 3 books in this series and adored them. I can’t wait to see what they get up to in this next book.

The Belles was such a cool book and the details were so vivid. Looking for big thing with this book!

I found Cinda last year and she is one of my favorite writers. I read one while series by her and couldn’t wait to start another. Please give her a chance if you haven’t read her work!

I am behind on my Wrap Up, But hope to have one soon.

Are you looking forward to any of these?

Blog Tour: A Christmas Date

I received a copy of this ebook as a part of Rachel‘s Book Tour. Thank you so much to Rachel and Camilla! This has been my favorite Christmas Romance of the Year!!

Nikki is a Christmas Grinch. She is single on one of the happiest holidays of the year. She is a career woman and very busy. One day her sister, Julia, invites her to lunch, where she tells her she is engaged to Paul, who is Nikki’s friend and the guy she is in love with. Julia is taking Paul home for Christmas to meet the family. Nikki can’t think of a worse time.

After some advice from a coworker, she decides to hire an actor to play her boyfriend when she goes home to her parents. She hires a guy who is just like her sister’s dream man, just to spite her. He turns out to be gorgeous, caring and kind.

Over the trip, Nikki and Diego fall in love with each other, but a major fight with Nikki and her sister ends with Paul and Diego overhearing why the women were originally with them. Paul breaks off the engagement and leaves. Nikki realizes she doesn’t really love Paul, but that she is in love with Diego. She leaves to go find Paul to bring him back for Julia. Diego misunderstands and leaves before she returns.

Love seems to come when you least expect it. This was a such a fun book and it was cute to see how it played out. If you are looking for a cute, sweet Christmas story, give this one a try.

By far my favorite Christmas story of the year!!!

Blog Tour: Painting Blue Water

I am so honored to be a part of this blog tour for Painting Blue Water.

If you have not joined one of Rachel‘s Book Tours, please do! They are always so much fun!

The cover of this book drew me in immediately. It is absolutely gorgeous! It looks so peaceful and the color of the blue is stunning.

This book is all about moving on and starting over while finding yourself in the process. It’s about finding love when you least expect it. Finding people who become family.

Katherine is a real estate agent in New York with her best friend Andi. She is married to a wealthy man and is doing very well for herself. One day, her husband tells her he has found someone else and is leaving. She should feel destroyed but finds the marriage didn’t mean as much to her as she thought. Her husband drinks a lot and the marriage has been a show for way too long.

After she finally allows herself to mourn the loss of her marriage, she goes to the Met and finds a painting that reminds her of a place she was truly happy at as a child in Colorado. She decides to give up everything to go back there.

She used to paint every day and wanted so much to become a painter. She was talented, but getting started was hard. She gave up her dreams and started the real estate company and got married. Now, free from these burdens, she begins to paint again after seeing the beautiful blue lake the town is named after.

She meets the owner and the chef of the inn she is staying in, Mr. Trust and Mr. Murray. They are the sweetest 2 men. I adored them so much. They were kind and caring and made her feel so at home.

She also makes friends with some of the others. My heart was so full with the friendships she achieved with her new friend, Ginger and her old friend, Andi. It is rare to find one best friend you can trust, much less 2. It was so heartwarming to read.

The romance was so sweet and tender after the marriage she had. It was so deserved to both of them after the pasts they had.

Her paintings take off and become very popular. I was a little upset that Will wasn’t coming to New York for her, but so glad it worked out. My heart is broken in the end over the loss of one of the dear characters, but the ending was so perfect.

It makes you see what is important. That we need to take time to slow down and not be so rushed. To develop relationships and tend to them. A wonderful book!!

Last Week’s Wrap Up

Hi lovely people!! I have been busy this week. We have had birthdays, work functions and school functions. I still managed to finish the books I was reading last week and add a few more.

I see the light at the end of the ARC tunnel and it’s only 2 weeks until Kingdom of Ash😱

This Weeks Books:

I want to be completely honest when I say the first book was not my favorite. It had all the right ingredients, but it just didn’t come together for me. This book made up for it. I loved that Emika stayed true to what she believed in. She was very deep in this book. The addition of Jax was nice and the storyline was much more exciting. It wrapped up nicely.

The Darkest Star

I received a copy of this book from Netgalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

This was my first Jennifer Armentrout book and I was not disappointed. It almost had a Twilight vibe to it. Luc was such a fun character. He was sexy, sweet and protective. He was also really playful and funny. Evie had so many life altering revelations and the fact that he was always there for her was amazing. It had aliens in it but that didn’t make the story unbelievable.

Dirty Exes (Liars, Inc #1) and Dangerous Exes (Liars, Inc #2)

I received book 2, Dangerous Exes from Netgalley and Skyscape in exchange for an honest review.

I had heard of Rachel before and really wanted to try one of her books, so of course I purchased book 1, Dirty Exes too. I enjoyed these so much. The girls were so spunky and they were all out to catch the bad guys. Enter Colin and Jessie…..who took their hearts. Colin was so funny and the banter between them all was so enjoyable. Sexy, entertaining and funny. The best of all!

Rachel Van Dyken will definitely be a go to author now!

Lucid Dreaming

I received a copy of this from the author in exchange for an honest review. If you don’t already follow @iamheatherblair please do! She is one of my favorites and a great friend.

This book was painfully beautiful. It was so tragic, and learning what had happened to Quinn was heartbreaking. It was wonderful to see her help him heal and what they found in each other was what they were truly missing.

More ARCs this week! Hoping to get through a few and maybe even a library book😂

What are you reading? Have you read any of these?

Fall is here!

Fall is finally here! Fall is such a wonderful season. I enjoy the cooler temperatures and I love when the leaves change color. I love Pumpkin and it ends up in everything this time of year. Leggings and boots are back. Football is back! I also enjoy getting to take my children trick or treating(especially the candy tax).

I also get totally in to planning Christmas. Yes, I am one of those people. I start my shopping early and I have lists everywhere. I want to actually be able to enjoy it instead of rushing around. And Christmas means new books for me!!

There are some books coming out in Fall that I am excited for as well:

This is the conclusion to this series and oh my goodness. Henrietta is amazing. I cannot decide which love interest I want her with. Magic and super creepy monsters are everywhere. The covers for these books are gorgeous!

This is also the conclusion for this series. The last book ended with a cliffhanger and I cannot wait to see how it plays out. Sonya has lost all of her powers and Valko is hunting his brother Anton. Sonya is racing to figure out a way to protect all that she loves. Also, a series with pretty covers.

Need I say more…I already preordered this one. I need it now. I adore these characters and how much they have grown. They form such a wonderful group. I love they way everyone is coming together and bringing more people to her cause. I need Aelin out of that box now!

I also have several ARC coming out this month to review. It is a busy month and I am so excited to get started.

What will you be reading this fall?

What new books coming out are you excited about?

I would love to chat with you!

Last Week’s Wrap Up

This last week I read some great books, and even a 5 Star Read!!!! It has rained almost non stop here and has made for some pretty good reading weather!

Bright Ruin

I received a copy of this book from Netgalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review. This was a good ending to this series. It was full of suspense and excitement. We lost a few along the way, but overall a good story with a satisfying ending.

The Sapphire Affair

This was a short, fun read. It was pretty much insta romance, but the mystery kept me interested. I will definitely be reading book 2 to find out what the step dad is up to and what happened to all the money.

Two Dark Reigns

My 5 Star Read!!!

This book had it all and I adore these sisters. I hope in the end they can all be happy. Katharine is going crazy, Arsinoe is on a quest, and I am afraid Mirabella has turned from her sister. So many questions!!! I cannot wait for the next book! I was absorbed from page 1.

Rich People Problems

The perfect ending to this series! I was overall pretty happy how it all ended. Nick and Rachel got a happy ending. Astrid went through a major change, as did Colin and Araminta (who becomes close friends with Kitty😱), and Kitty finally gets ahead. So many people and so much drama. I am sad this series is over.

I must force myself to read ARCS this next week because I have deadlines coming up. October is full of them, but these books above were so much fun.

What are you reading? Have you read any of these?

Books from A to Z

I love to talk books and I have so many. After staring at my shelves, I wondered if I had read or have a book for every letter. I know…who does this?? But now I have, so let’s give it a try!!

Well, it appears I have nothing for the bottom 3. How sad!

Do you have anything for the bottom 3? Have you read any of these?

Last Week’s Wrap Up

Time for another wrap up. More books read and even more to go. I have so many books due in October and I am trying to get through them so I can read what I want😂 I will never make it through all these books. (Ignores the fact more are made everyday and I am weak).. ok moving on.

Here is Last Week’s Books I Read:

China Rich Girlfriend

This book was every bit as fun as the first, with even more drama. I love Astrid. She’s my girl and I’m glad she finally saw the light. She deserves better. I loved meeting Carlton. If I had any complaint, it would be the massive amounts of names you have to learn, but I do understand it. It will be interesting to see how all of these people end up.

Tarnished City

I have yet to figure out who is good or bad in this book. It seems a big reveal is coming. I hope Gavar can redeem himself. Abi is really coming out of her shell. Jenner is such a jerk. I am so sad over Dina and the doc. They didn’t deserve it.

We’ll Always Have Summer

I was angry through most of this book. I was angry at Belly for being a pushover and not being true with her feelings. I was angry at Conrad for not stepping up and admitting his feelings. I was angry at Jeremiah for acting like a spoiled child. The ending I predicted, but still mad me happy. But…when I wait hundreds of pages and 3 books, I expected more than a few letters telling me what happened. I want to live it!

He Loves You Not

I received a copy of this from Skyscape and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This was my first book by Tara and definitely not my last. It was a little long and took a while to get the story going. The characters were all entertaining and the plot was good. I liked the friendships and family she had.

That’s all for last week! This week I am finishing Bright Ruin and the library just got in the ebook of Two Dark Reigns. I am so excited!

What are you reading? Anything I should add to my TBR?

What do I want with my blog??

Hi! I have been so busy lately and I just have not had the time to devote to my blog that I would like. I would love to do this all the time, but realistically I work a full time job. I am a wife and a mother. And…I have a TBR pile that could crush me any moment😂 I have two full bookshelves and a kindle full of unread books. Yet everyday I am scouring Amazon, the library ebook app and all of the other sites I use to buy books and we won’t talk about all the ARCs I requested and can’t work my way through🙈

So I have been questioning myself as to what I want to do with this blog. What do I want to accomplish? I have looked at some of your blogs and I am ashamed of my reviews. Some of the blogs are lengthy and so well written they should appear in a magazine or on the books themselves and I’m over here like “yeah it was good”. I see some of you post almost everyday. I am amazed at all the bookstagram photos(and to be honest, a little terrified at having to find so many ways to photograph a book). The creativity you guys put out and the effort I see is astounding.

But for me…

I keep coming back to this…

I love to read. It makes me happy. I love to find a good book and escape to a different place, explore a culture I am unfamiliar with, find life friends, explore love. I love the feel of a book in my hands and the comfort it gives me. I started this blog as a place to just talk about what I have read and learn about new books from others and boy, have I done that😍 I have met so many wonderful, kind and helpful people. I have fangirled with some of the best and met friends I just know would be my best friends if we could ever met. People who make me smile throughout the day. I have learned about new books and purchased some just because of what you guys thought.

THIS is what I want from my blog. The stats are excellent and the numbers keep me in awe, but I will never be the blogger who can do a super long review. I can never be the blogger who posts everyday and has the perfect, eloquent post. I’m just a girl who loves books and wants to talk about them. And that’s ok.

I admire so many of you and am so proud of what you are accomplishing. And to those of you, who actually take the time to like, comment, tag or share any of my work, I truly thank you from the bottom of my heart!!😍

Top 5 Books You Should Read

There are so many good books out there. New ones being made everyday. I wanted to bring some attention to some of my absolute favorites.

1. The Conspiracy of Us by Maggie Hall

2. Paper Princess by Erin Watt

3. My Forever Girl by Heidi McLaughlin

4. A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas

5. Falling Kingdoms by Morgan Rhodes

1. The Hating Game by Sally Thorne

2. The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang

3. On the Fence by Kasie West

4. Alex Approximately by Jenn Bennett

I only have 4 standalone right now. Apparently I read a lot of series😂 I have so many I am hoping to add to this soon. I could add to the series many more times.

Have you read any of these? Did you like them?
